- I first joined LASERVIC in 2005 when my internship supervisor, Devonne Reese, encouraged me to attend a board meeting. I was instantly drawn to the strong sense of community that the members shared, even though they saw each other only a few times a year. I liked what they stood for, and I felt that we shared similar values and perspectives. I began as a graduate school representative, then awards chair, then secretary, now president. I feel blessed to serve with several of my mentors from graduate school (Dr. Ceasar, Dr. Hay, Dr. Miranti, Dr. Austin, Dr. White)
